After various suicides reported this year including Manmeet Grewal, Preksha Mehta, and Sushant Singh Rajput in the television industry, suspected suicide of famous Television face Sameer Sharma has left everyone shocked. He was found hanging with the kitchen ceiling on Wednesday at his Mumbai house.
On Wednesday night, 44-year-old Sameer Sharma was discovered dead when the security guard found him hanging with a kitchen ceiling at his rented apartment in Malad.
“The actor was staying at first floor of Neha CHS building, Ahinsa Marg in Malad (west). On Wednesday a security guard found him dead and alerted the society members,” communicated Malad police station.
George Fernandes, senior inspector from Malad police stated, “We have registered a case of accidental death (ADR) and sent his body to a government hospital for autopsy.”
The actor had been a popular face of the television industry and appeared in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Jyoti, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Du, Left Right Left, among others. He was also listed as a cast member for the movies Hasee Toh Phasee and Ittefaq.
Sameer has shifted to a rented house in Neha CHS building, situated at Ahinsa Marg in Malad west in February. He used to live alone and had suffered a major ailment that he had recovered from.
Sameer Sharma has been lately sharing many Instagram posts mentioning Sushant Singh Rajput whose death is also suspected to be a suicide. Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on June 14, 2020, has invited a huge furore and a CBI probe has been allowed in the matter.
